Featured Item: Rolled Oats

Whether they’re in oatmeal or baked goods, rolled oats are a great source of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

Rolled oats are a whole grain cereal that are harvested then milled, steamed, heated and cooled in a kiln, which brings out the flavor. Rolled oats are basically steel cut oats (which we also have at Core Goods), that are then rolled flat (learn more about different types of oats here).

If you’re looking for a nutritious breakfast, rolled oats are a great choice. They are packed with protein and fiber, and also contain vitamins and minerals such as manganese, phosphorus, copper, vitamin B1, iron, selenium, magnesium, and zinc (learn more).

Although there’s a variety of ways to eat them for breakfast–like in hot oatmeal, overnight oats, breakfast cookies, and granola–you can also add oats to baked goods, make them into flour, and make milk out of them.
