Featured Item: All Purpose & Gluten-Free Flour

It’s time for holiday baking! Stock up on your supplies at Core Goods, including flour.

It’s hard to believe Christmas will be here soon. December is a crazy month for most people, full of holiday parties, family gatherings, community events, and lots of cooking and baking.

We hope you’ll think of Core Goods during the holidays, especially for your ingredients. We have a lot of various baking supplies, including flour, cocoa powder, and cane sugar. We also have almond flour, coconut flour, chocolate chips, a variety of nuts and dried fruit, shredded coconut, and spices.

We were going to just feature our new all purpose flour this week, but didn’t want to leave our gluten-free friends out, so we decided to feature both.

Our all purpose flour comes from Small Valley Milling in Halifax, Pa, and it is made of organic hard red spring wheat and organic soft red winter wheat. The gluten-free flour we have is from Pamela’s Products and consists of brown rice flour, tapioca starch, white rice flour, potato starch, sorghum flour, arrowroot starch, guar gum, sweet rice flour, and rice bran.

Both flours we have are supplied through Frankferd Farms, our main food distributor out of Saxonburg, PA.

The gluten-free flour is comparable to regular all purpose flour and can be used in most of your traditional recipes or sometimes with subtle tweaking such as adding more liquid.

You probably already have some family recipes you make each year, but here are others to try:

All purpose and gluten-free flour are both 10% off at Core Goods this week!
