Featured Item: Split Peas

Similar to lentils, split peas are a legume that cooks quickly and adds protein and other nutrients to meals.

Split peas are commonly found in soup, but can be used in a variety of ways. They are dried and take about 30-40 minutes to cook, but you can speed up the cooking time by soaking them in water.

These small, green legumes are high in protein and contain vitamins A and B, potassium, and magnesium, which support immune health, help make energy, builds muscle, and keep your teeth and bones healthy and strong (learn more).

Besides soup, split peas can be used in curries, salads, patties, and more.
